Subject: Polished performances in a great Soundie.
Carolyn Marsh brings to her performance touches of Alice Faye in the way she puts this great number over. There's a marked similarity in looks and body language as well, though others may disagree. Ray Bloch's backing is fine as well. Scores my top rating.

Subject: Cute number.
Ray block, before the Ed Sullivan Show(First called "Toast of the Town"). Excellent vocalist, cute number.

Subject: No special effects
An old standard, and great band. We have to remember, in the 40's this was a state of the art "music video" - no special effects and no head banging or break dancing. It was a simpler time featuring songs with memorable lyrics and a recognizable beat to dance to. Perhaps our tastes have become too sophisticated. This soundie is good, clean entertainment.

Subject: I can't give you anything but a bland performance,
Not a bad rendition of this classic song here by an (of course) unknown singer. She performs this ok, with a suspicious "are they? or aren't they?" playing orchestra. Love the 2 dancing couples here. Strictly a below by-the-books soundie here.

Subject: Bay-Bee!!
A pretty woman sings ÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂI CanÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂt Give You Anything but LoveÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂ (Bay-Be!! You remember how it goesÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂ) and a couple of dorky couples dance in the kind of nightclub floor show they just donÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂt do today. A charming soundie from the 40s.
